- Abstract
"AIDS, which is spreading rapidly througout the world, has also spread throughout Japan. With a drastic cure for the disease still in the research stages, it is necessary to devise measures to prevent infection, create a system in which patients and infected people can be sure of receiving treatment, conduct research aimed at establishing treatments, and establish a consulting system which preserves people's privacy. We must seriously reflect and do soul-searching on the tragedy of the many hemophiliacs who contracted the virus from non heat-treated blood products, and work to ensure that the same thing does not occur again, as well as taking the necessary relief measures."
