- Description
Using the Declaration of Commitment on AIDS for lobbying and advocacy: A workshop module for community-based organisations to advocate for better national responses to HIV and AIDS.
- Abstract
"The following document is to be used for civil society groups working in HIV/AIDS to design and host a workshop aimed at educating and empowering relevant groups and individuals to use the UNGASS Declaration of Commitment as a lobbying and advocacy tool to improve national responses to HIV and AIDS. The Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS was made by governments from 189 countries at the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS (UNGASS) in June 2001. The Declaration is more commonly referred to as the UNGASS Declaration and outlines a series of commitments entered into by governments to respond to HIV and AIDS."
