Summary

"Working with our Red Cross and Red Crescent partners in the Asia/Pacific region since the mid-1990s, Australian Red Cross (ARC) has been supporting programs that initially focused on preventing the spread of HIV. These programs promote safe behaviour to minimise the risk of HIV infection through peer education workshops and other models of training. In recent years these programs have increasingly also started to deliver care and support to affected families." The Australian Red Cross is one of the 181 members of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
