"The objective of this policy is to guide the response of Mumbai Police to HIV/AIDS. The policy measures apply to all the members of Mumbai Police Force as well as their families.
Mumbai Police realizes the need to respond to HIV/AIDS by implementing regular HIV/AIDS prevention programs and creating a non-discriminatory work environment for any person(s) infected by HIV. This policy is based on the principles of the 'ILO Code of Practice' on HIV/AIDS and the world of work."
