- Description
Report prepared for Research and Dialogue Project on Regional Responses to the Spread of HIV/AIDS in East Asia organised by the Japan Center for International Exchange and the Friends of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Japan).
- Abstract
"This paper was commissioned by the Lowy Institute for International Policy in response to the invitation extended by the Japan Centre for International Exchange to participate in the seminar on Regional Responses to the Spread of HIV/AIDS in East Asia to be held in collaboration with the Friends of the Global Fund (Japan) in Tokyo in June 2005. It outlines the major elements of Australia's response to HIV/AIDS as they developed over the nearly 25 years since the first case of AIDS was detected in Australia in 1982."
