- Abstract
"This National Hepatitis C Strategy 2005-2008 has been developed by my department in partnership with people affected by hepatitis C, governments at all levels, and medical, scientific and health care professionals. The Ministerial Advisory Committee on AIDS, Sexual Health and Hepatitis, and its Hepatitis C Subcommittee have been instrumental in the development of the new Strategy and will steer Australia’s response to hepatitis C. The successful development of the new Strategy highlights the Australian Government’s commitment to work with all stakeholders to reduce transmission rates and the physical and social impact of the disease on people living with and affected by hepatitis C. Continuing actions to combat this disease will be guided by this second National Hepatitis C Strategy."
