- Abstract
" In order to strengthen international cooperation in this field and to improve efforts in preventing HIV/AIDS in China, the Ministry of Health and the United Nations Theme Group on HIV/AIDS in China decided to host a donor meeting in Beijing in January 1998. By way of preparation for that meeting, it was proposed to conduct a study on the current HIV/AIDS situation and an assessment of needs. The document you are reading is the report of that work. Suggestions given by representatives of UN agencies, international NGOs and a number of embassies have been taken into consideration in the drafting of this report."
